General Information
The solicitation is anticipated to be issued in or around 24 March 2023.
The contract is anticipated to be awarded in April 2023. All dates are tentative and for planning purposes only.
The resulting contract shall be a Firm Fixed-Price contract.
The solicitation shall be a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
The solicitation will be a Request for Quote (RFQ).

PROJECT TITLE: Demolish B-3 Greenhouse
PROJECT LOCATION: Florence, SC

SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD: $16.5M
The anticipated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Coastal Plains Soil, Water, and Plant Research Center (CPSWPRC) in Florence, SC has a requirement for demolition of an existing greenhouse.
General Scope (further details will be made available with the RFQ)- The contractor shall demolish and abate all glazing and greenhouse framing, remove and dispose of walls, roof, sump, piping, flooring, and any remaining equipment from partially removed evaporative cooling system. Most of the fans, lighting and radiators have been removed from the structure. The contractor shall leave intact the concrete slab of the alley house and South greenhouse and seal the floor drain in the slab. Contractor shall demolish the existing doorway between building 3 and the alley house/greenhouse and install a window and masonry wall to match the NE facing window on the western end of the building as closely as possible. The new window unit shall be approximately 40”h x 75-1/2”w and positioned at the top of opening. The new window shall be a fixed unit.
