The Department of Veterans Affairs Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (VA) currently leases 5,886 Net Usable Square Feet (NUSF) of space at 8 River Bend Place, Flowood, MS, 39232. The VA's lease expires on September 30, 2024. The Veterans Affairs intends to continue occupancy in accordance with the authority outlined in the General Services Administration Acquisition Manual (GSAM) 570.402 Succeeding Leases. However, the VA is interested in considering alternative space if it is economically advantageous. Otherwise, the VA intends to pursue a sole source acquisition. In making this determination, the VA will consider, among other factors, the availability of alternate space that can potentially satisfy the Government's requirements, as well as all costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunications infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime. The VA will consider leased space located in another existing building, provided all mentioned costs can be offset by competition.
