Presently, NREL’s procurement department utilizes multiple platforms and channels to develop and implement its subcontracts, ordering agreements, and purchase orders. NREL seeks a unified contract writing system to consolidate the usage of these multiple approaches. A new contract writing system should solve a lack of standardization among contract vehicles, as well as a lack of modern contract management functionality.
In order to better serve the Lab’s procurement and compliance needs, this SSN aims to identify potential vendors qualified and capable of meeting the project’s objectives, detailed below. The information received in response to this SSN will guide NREL’s focus for writing a requirements document to meet our overall research goals. The project objective, at a high level, is to provide a contract writing system capable of meeting NREL Procurement’s contract writing needs. NREL is considering both acquiring existing software/functionality and configuring it to specifications as well as developing software as may be necessary to meet the need.
