Description
Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Water Boiler & Loop Pumps Replacement

The U.S. Department of Interior (DOI), Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Basin, (LCB), has a requirement for a construction contract to replace the HVAC system at the Yuma Area office includes one (1)20hw Hot Water Boiler, (4) 7.5HP Pump Motors, starter cabinet and components, (4) Centrifugal Pumps for hot and cold water, and (1) Ballast. The existing hot water boiler has maintenance issues, intermittent motherboard failures, and need to be replaced. The pumps and motors are obsolete and maintenance parts kits needed to continue repairs are being exhausted with no replacements. The existing ballast is no longer needed in this system and will only be removed, including the concrete pedestal it is mounted to.

The Contractor shall replace the 20HW hot water boiler unit, two hot and cold loop pumps and motors, and the cabinet with components if the existing is not compatible with the new, and all related components, with a like item or better. Related components include items such as check valves, isolation valves, etc. The ballast and concrete pedestal are to be removed only and its inlet and outlet lines will be bypassed and insulated.

This requirement is restricted as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside.

The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) identified for this action is 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors with a corresponding Small Business Size Standard of $19M.

The resulting contract will be firm fixed price. The contract period will be for 60 days from Notice to Proceed. The Government intends to make one (1) contract award under this solicitation but reserves the right to award none at all.
