THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY
The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to procure The Repair of Fire Dampers. This notice serves to survey the market to ascertain whether-or-not sources are capable of providing the requested supply/services.Â
This notice also allows potential contractors/vendors to submit a non-binding statement of interest and documentation demonstrating their capability. Please review the DRAFT Statement of Work (SOW) to compare your supply/service to what is requested. Complete the line-items below and submit any documentation supporting your product/service for consideration. Network Contracting Office 06 (NCO 06) is requesting responses from qualified business concerns; the qualifying NAICS code for this effort is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors. The Small Business Administration (SBA) Size Standard for this request is $39.5M.
This Sources Sought is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification(s) (Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses / Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDOSB/VOSB)) relative to PSC J012. Responses to this notice, will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this notice, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this notice are not considered adequate responses to any corresponding solicitation announcement. All interested offerors are requested to respond to this notice. Only res but are required to respond to the official solicitation announcement in order to be awarded the contract.

The fire dampers are required to be installed in accordance with the following requirements

Installation Requirements

All work shall be performed in full accordance with applicable local and Federal regulations. All equipment and installation shall conform to the VA master specifications, recommendations of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. The contractor shall use good safety practices during demolition and installation.
Contractor to perform a site visit to confirm damper locations and sizes.
Contractor to submit cutsheets for products to be used and a detailed schedule identifying location of work with anticipated durations (coordination with patient care and VA COR is required) before starting work.
Contractor to remove as much dust and debris on damper and within ductwork utilizing HEPA filtered vacuums before demolition begins. Diffusers within the space will need to be covered during removal and installation of new dampers.
Contractor to install dampers with required perimeter mounting angles, sleeves, breakaway duct connections, corrosion resistant springs, bearings, bushings and hinges per UL and NFPA.
Contractor to perform verification and demonstrate of re setting and operation of dampers.
Contractor to provide a final report listing each damper replaced, a check list showing that all post-installation test functions are complete with pictures of open , closed:, and reopen demonstrating the operability of the damper, date of installation, the model, and identification number of the damper.
