The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Wyatt Technology Corporation, 6330 Hollister Ave, Goleta, CA 93117 for an Asymmetric Flow Field-Flow-Fractionation (AF4) system to support the Clinical Chemistry Branch (CCB) Toxins and Flu laboratory in accordance with requirements of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Federal Drug Administration (FDA) regulated environments. No other systems are known to exist that meet the specifications already in place. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All quotations/responses received by the deadline specified in this notice, in accordance with FAR 5.203, will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to the contract specialist at gas1@cdc.gov by 3:00 PM EST 5 April 2024.
