DESCRIPTION
Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued.

This solicitation is issued as an RFQ. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2023-01.

This solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business.

The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 335220.

The FSC/PSC is 6515.

The NCO 10 for Cleveland VA Medical Center is seeking to purchase the REACH-IN DISPLAY REFRIGERATOR, for the Dietary Service.

All interested companies shall provide quotations for the following request.
STATEMENT OF WORK

Nutrition and Food Services refrigerator worktop is a critical part of daily kitchen operations. Refrigeration Equipment is needed to hold cold bulk cooked food prior to re-thermalization and provide sufficient space to hold cold salads, fruit, and dessert for patient service in individual pantries located in CARES Tower. Must provide ability to hold a quantity of food consistently to a minimum of 41 Degrees F.

2.0 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Performance of the Refrigerators will be monitored by the Food Production and Service Supervisors. Any disparities will trigger requests for review by Engineering Service and correction within the warranty period. After warranty period, equipment will be included in NFS maintenance and repair contract.

8.0 Security Requirements
Not Applicable. Refrigerator equipment has no IT connections. The C&A requirements do not apply and a Security Accreditation Package is not required.

9.0 Risk Control
Coordination of delivery and installation. Installation will need to be coordinated with Engineering. Installation needs to be staged for the four locations so as to avoid disruption of patient service.

10.0 Place of Performance.
NFS CARES Tower Pantry / Wade Park Wards

11.0 Period of Performance.
Equipment: This is a one-time purchase of durable goods. Expected use life is 10 years.
