This is a request for information (RFI) only. This RFI is a request for information purposes only and does not constitute an invitation for bid (IFB), request for quotation (RFQ), or request for proposal (RFP). This RFI does not constitute a commitment of the U.S. Army to procure products or services. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. Information submitted in response to this RFI is submitted at no cost to the Government and will not be returned. Any exchange of information shall be consistent with procurement integrity requirements, and all appropriate proprietary claims will be protected to prevent improper disclosure.
Your response to this RFI is voluntary and will be treated as information for the Government to consider. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. The U.S. Army may use the information provided to develop its acquisition strategy. If a solicitation is released for the supplies or services described herein, it will be synopsized on SAM.gov. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this potential requirement.
The U.S. Government is conducting market research to identify if there are any responsible contractors that can produce Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for the U.S. Army Mid-Range Capability (MRC) weapon system. Each MRC Battery consists of four Launchers, one Battery Operations Center (BOC), one Battery Support Vehicle (BSV), and one Reload Trailer.
BACKGROUND: The U.S. Army has a need to obtain a fifth battery with potential for additional GSE for the MRC weapon system. The first four batteries were developed and produced by Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMC), Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) CAGE code 02769, located at 199 BORTON LANDING RD, MOORESTOWN, NJ 08057.
Interested firms must demonstrate technical capability, corporate knowledge, and experience of providing hardware, facilities, equipment, technical expertise, planning, management, manufacturing, and testing efforts, to include incidental services, for producing the MRC weapon system.
Interested Sources shall have the ability to work with multiple military program offices, to produce, test, and deliver GSE.
Sources who believe they can provide the requirements described herein are invited to indicate their interest by providing the following information to the point of contact listed below:
1) Company Name, CAGE Code, DUNS, and street address
2) Point of contact including name, title, phone, and email address
3) Size of contractor, average annual revenue for the past three years and number of employees
4) A description of the company’s experience in providing technical expertise, manufacturing and production expertise and facilities, and other services as required to meet the MRC production requirements. Outline the company’s experience in meeting contractual due dates for similar type efforts
5) Understanding of included Navy weapons systems included in the MRC architecture
6) Personnel qualifications, to include any Subject Matter Expertise
7) Schedule, risks, and assumptions
