5. Short Project Description: Replace poiree dam lower closure (bulkhead slots, needle dam, modified headbay, or sheet pile wall). Dewater lock chamber and raise miter gates by picking. Replace and rehab related components, to include contact blocks, anchor arms, pintle balls/bushings, and timber seals. Another component to this is to tension the diagonals and repair any structural cracking that is found.

10. Construction Cost Limit (CCL) and Programmed Amount (PA): NOTE: The CCL is the estimated construction award amount and does not include real estate, S&A, DDC or contingency. CCL: 6.0M PA: $6.59M
11. Criteria:
a. Projects similar in scope to this project include: Construction on lock or dam structures on the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers and their tributaries.
b. Projects similar in size will include: (magnitude – approximate square footages of major features: Concrete placements or removals and replacements on locks and dams of a minimum of 40 cubic yards of concrete. Removal and rehabilitation of miter gates or similar structures in which dewatering was needed. Examples of similar projects would be: Floating mooring bitt slot rehabs, miter gate wall quoin replacements, lock wall refacing, miter gate rehabilitations, dewaterings.
