This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures for critical spare part inventory requirement to avoid work stoppage due to recent mixer ball bearing failure, custom made bearing specific to original manufacturer mixers, with standard 26-week lead-time and included warranty, for use at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant. Only one authorized supplier, B&P Littleford LLC, original manufacturer has the material and technical expertise to supply parts for exact compatibility, meeting technical specification and not void warranty on parts and /or equipment. Any purchase order will be awarded under 'other than full and open competition' as authorized by FAR 6.302-1.

This is not a request for offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements for this item.
