Description

The United States Air Force through Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC), Tinker AFB 73145 is contemplating the Spare Buy of the F-15 Body, Valve. This notice is in accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(2). A firm fixed price type contract is contemplated.



The requirements set forth in this notice are defined per Purchase Request FD2030-24-01184.



The Government intends to issue a request for quotation on or about 03 April 2024 with a closing response date of 06 May 2024 and estimated award date of on or about 27 May 2024. This notice does in itself represent the issuance of a formal request for quotation and is intended to be taken as such.



Written response is required.



Item 0001: Body, Valve; NSN: 4810-01-006-1283 HS; Applicable to F-15 aircraft for a best estimated quantity of 2 each.



Function: Open and close landing gear doors and move the landing gear through the up and down positions.



Delivery: Deliver units 2 each on 22 September 2025. Early delivery is acceptable.

Shipping instructions will be provided by the Production Management Specialist (PMS) prior to any shipments of serviceable assets.



Qualification Requirements: QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS APPLY. Interested vendors that have not been previously qualified for this acquisition must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) package to the Source Development, Small Business Office at 405-739-7243. As prescribed in FAR 9.202(e), the contracting officer need not delay a proposed award in order to provide a potential offeror with an opportunity to demonstrate its ability to meet the standards specified for qualification.



Part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from approve sources.

The AMC is 3/D. The data needed to procure this part competitively is not physically available, it cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate, economical description of the material for a competitive solicitation.
