The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Nevada State Office has a requirement for Alfalfa Hay for the National Wild Horse and Burro Center at Palomino Valley (PVC). The hay shall consist of 75% alfalfa with not more than 25% grasses (per bale), used for food for domestic animals, cured, cut, and stored for fodder. No Bermuda hay or Canary hay will be allowed. The hay shall be a first or second cutting from a domestic 2023 crop and be delivered by 04/15/2024.
The BLM intends to issue a solicitation as a Small Business Set Aside, The BLM anticipates issuing a single firm fixed price award from this solicitation. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 111940, Hay Farming and the size standard is $2.5M.
A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation package will be available electronically on or about March 27, 2024, through the Government Point of Entry (GPE) website located at www.sam.gov. Proposals will be due no later than April 12, 2024. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring www.sam.gov for the release of the solicitation package, for any other pertinent information, and for downloading a complete copy of the solicitation package. The government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered, and currently active, and complete the online Representations and Certification in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base via website: http://www.sam.gov.
Award will be based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
