Description

Description: THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Proposals shall only be requested and accepted from contractors who are a Small Business AND certified in System for Award Management (SAM, https://sam.gov).





The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), United States Forest Service (USFS), has a requirement for, but not limited to, the following:





127EAW23R0011 - GAOA Sierra Vista Scenic Byway, Sky Ranch Road





The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, incidentals, inspection, quality control, and supplies necessary to repair 9.98 miles of Sky Ranch Road. The contractor shall clean and recondition the culverts and all other drainage structures along the road. Furthermore, crack filling, brushing, and double chip sealing shall occur on the first 5.6 miles. The contractor shall apply a fog seal from MP 6.72 to 7.46, reconstruct 0.74 miles of a paved road and reconstruct 2.52 miles of road with oil (bitumen).



Project location: From Oakhurst, CA, head Northeast on Highway 41, travel approximately 4.0 miles and turn right on Road 632, continue for 1.4 miles until reaching the beginning of the NFSR 6S10 (Sky Ranch Road).





Solicitation Number 127EAW23R0011 for this effort will be posted to SAM.gov (https://sam.gov) on or about March 27th, 2023. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings, and other information necessary to submit a proposal for this project.





The solicitation will include all site visit related information.





Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is expected to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
