REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL – 355910mrh
Fermi Research Alliance, LLC (FRA) anticipates procurement of the following assemblies for Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab). Please provide your firm fixed price for the following:
Control valves are required for a liquid argon filtration skid. These are bellows sealed control valves that meet stringent design constraints such as the cryogenic temperatures required for flowing liquid argon (-273°C) that range up to Regeneration temperatures (250°C). The valves also meet the design considerations for the pressure / flow accounted for from a preexisting, already purchased submersible, cryogenic pump.
These valves would see both extreme high (250°C) and low temps (-273°C), but also are exceptional in leak-tightness. In the liquid argon detector systems, purity is the main focus; also, the flow control aspect is critical. Please reference attached RFP 355910rmh for complete details.
Basis for Subcontract Award
This is a Low Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) source selection. Award shall be made to the supplier who is deemed responsible by FRA, whose proposal is technically acceptable and offers the lowest evaluated price. FRA intends to award without discussions.
