What is the annual value of the existing contract?
Answer: Last option year was $431,535.48.
Can we roll over the present employees to our company?
Answer: That is up to them.
Do the janitorial company have parking priviledge (sic)?
Answer: No
If you are having problems with the current contractor, the ask specifically what their concerns are?
Answer: We cannot answer this question.
Is the cleaning company responsible for your recycle program and if so to what extent?
Answer: Recycle bins are on site, if bin is full contractor is to transport to the collection area.
How many restrooms on each floor? How many blinds in each office/Rooms? Do the Building have an elevators and stairwells?

Answer: There is only 1 floor, there is an elevator lobby, and various staircases (3-4) landings and 1 flight of stairs per staircase is the contractor s responsibility. Most if not all Blinds are built in to glass

Do the Contractor have (Office Space & Storage for Equipment)?

Answer: No Office, ED has 2 housekeeping closets

Section E D.2: WAGE DETERMINATION Per FAR 22.10 Service Contract Labor Standards incorporate Department of Labor (DoL) Wage Determination (WD) 2015-5469, Rev 19, dated 06/27/2022, effective the start of period of performance. WD located at SAM.gov. This has since been updated on Sam.gov. Will this be updated in the solicitation as well?

Answer: Yes, the new Wage Determination will be used. It can be found at SAM.gov.

Will there be a site visit? If so, please provide date and time.
Answer: No there will not be an official site visit, but you are welcome to visit the facility.
Are we required to do the following- historical, these have been cleaned by the nursing
staff: They are also required to sort, clean, and disinfect equipment such as feeding pumps, Alaris pump module (PCA), KCI wound vacuums, Bard Criticore Monitor (Volume Metric/Vital Metrics), and Gaymar pump.
Answer: Per the SOW yes.
Please clarify the difference between section 3.3 and 3.4 as they seem to contradict each other.
Answer: 3.3 designation of equipment and material (i.e., burnishers, etc.). 3.4 is the supplies needed to clean (i.e., disinfection material, paper towels, etc.).
Is the contractor responsible for providing the equipment to clean, such as floor buffers,
extractors, etc...?
Answer: Yes.
3.3 Mentions mops, which would typically fall under cleaning products and Supplies. Is that the contractor or VA s responsibility?
3.3 Cleaning Equipment/Materials will be the responsibility of the contractor....
3.4 Cleaning products and supplies will be provided by the Phoenix VA Environmental
Management Services department.

Answer: We supply all carts, chemicals, rags, mops etc. Contractor supplies their own scrubbers, burnishers etc. for floor maintenance.

3.3 Mentions classrooms. Are there classrooms in this requirement? If so, how many tables and chairs are in the classrooms.

Answer: There are no classrooms

Are flat mops provided by the VA?

Answer: Yes

What is the square footage of the carpeted areas?

Answer: Entryway mats are the only carpeting. The SOW includes carpet as in the future there could be more however very unlikely.

What is the floor type in the Emergency Department?

Answer: Nora, https://www.nora.com/united-states/en This flooring uses a progressive pad system for cleaning. Pads will be provided.

What is the floor type in the X-ray area?

Answer: Low maintenance/non-wax

What is the floor type in the CT area?

Answer: Low maintenance/non-wax

What is the floor type in the VAPD area?

Answer: Tile

How many restrooms are in this contract?
