Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with FAR part 5.2 – Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions, FAR part 6.3 - Other Than Full and Open Competition and FAR part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, with additional information included in this synopsis. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested as a request for quotation (RFQ) and a written solicitation will not be issued.



The Library of Congress (Library), Contracts and Grants Directorate, intends to award a sole-source firm-fixed price contract to: Arri. The work to be performed under the contract will be performed at the following location: the Library of Congress facilities. The period of performance of the intended contract shall run as follows: 07/14/2024 - 07/13/2026. It is valued at an amount below the simplified acquisition threshold (defined as $250,000 and below), but above $25,000.



The procurement is for contract maintenance support plan for the ArriLaser film recorder (serial #AL253) including software updates and preventative maintenance. This maintenance support plan for the ArriLaser film recorder will extend coverage from the expiring contract. The purpose of extending coverage is to ensure ongoing support and maintenance for the ArriLaser film recorder, which will allow continued operation of the system.



This combined synopsis/solicitation accomplishes the following:




  1. Notice of the Library’s intent to sole source this requirement to the business listed herein;

  2. Synopsizing the requirements in accordance with the FAR; and

  3. Publicly posting the approved Justification and Approval (J&A) to the public in advance of the contract award.



The final version of the J&A shall be posted after award.
