The Department of Agriculture Forest Service awarded a sole source contract to Brickley Construction Company, Inc. for the Analysis and Disposal of Fairview Wildfire Hazmat/Burned Debris & Securing Fiberglass Burned Building located at the San Bernardino National Forest in San Bernardino, California. Period of performance is 28 August 2023 through 28 September 2023. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, transportation, permits, testing and incidentals necessary for the performance of the tasks for California wildfires have damaged and/or destroyed Forest Service owned structures and special use permitted privately-owned structures located on National Forest System (NFS) lands. The services shall include but not be limited to sampling and analysis of all burned ash/debris containers of chemicals (scattered throughout the site and located in the small fiberglass building), removal and off-site disposal of all burned ash/debris and containers of chemicals (scattered throughout the site and located in the small fiberglass building) determined to be hazardous, removal and off-site disposal of the burned metal/wood debris mixed in with the hazmat that has been scattered over the site, reattaching the small building door/reinforcing the door with plywood/sheet metal to prevent entry/exposure to PCBs that may be contained in the burned fluorescent light fixtures located inside of the small building, sampling (not removal) of the interior (flooring material) and exterior of the small fiberglass building.
