Pre-solicitation Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with:  Â

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate to purchase nVent Rack Chiller PRO RDHX system with installation and integration services at VAMC Boston, Jamaica Plain Campus. Acquisition of this equipment is required to prevent catastrophic data loss as the high performance computing system is at imminent risk for overheating. Although the server cooling doors may be obtained through other vendors, ThunderCat Technology has performed the construction, installation, and continued maintenance on the processing cluster which makes them uniquely qualified with extensive knowledge of the TRACTS/NeRVe system.
Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to Contracting Opportunities on SAM.gov.
The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
