This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District to inform interested/potential contractors of the District's imminent issue of an Invitation for Bid Package for its construction project entitled, Richton Park Storm Sewer Improvement - Section 219, Richton Park, IL. (USACE Acquisition).

PROJECT INFORMATION:

Under the contract, the contractor will provide service to perform repairs to roadway culvert crossings to include locations at or near: Imperial Drive, Amy Drive, and Lakeshore Drive in Richton Park, IL. Minor repairs at the crossings have been conducted to counteract the differential settling that has occurred such as filling the exposed void areas with flowable fill, installing spray foam sealant between the CMP and headwall and placing cold patch HMA on the settled roadway. However, these repairs will only slightly prolong the service life of these facilities and a long-term solution is needed and is being planned.

The Village is also considering replacing the existing 6-inch cast iron water main between Imperial Drive and Mission Drive, approximately 1,600 LF. Frequent water main breaks require temporary repair work and the level of service is declining. A long-term solution is required to address this problem.

ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is RESERVED EXCLUSIVELY for Small Business Concerns. The North American Industry System Classification Code is 237110, with a small business size standard in dollars of $39.5 Million. The magnitude of cost for construction is estimated between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.

The Solicitation (Invitation for Bids – “IFB”) will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Once the package is released into advertisement at this website ("SAM.gov"), interested bidders may download the full package, includes: specification and drawings files

The Solicitation package is planned for advertisement on or about the November 2022 to December 2022 timeframe, with bids due 30 days after the posting of the announcement.

IN THE CASE OF A DISCREPANCY BETWEEN THE DATES PUBLISHED IN THIS NOTICE AND THOSE CALLED OUT IN THE IFB DOCUMENT, THE DATES IN THE IFB DOCUMENT OVERRIDES THOSE PUBLISHED HEREIN THIS NOTICE; THIS IS RELATIVE TO THE IFB ISSUANCE DATE AND THE DUE DATE FOR BIDS.
