Notice of intent for, Brand Name, for Building 624 (Barracks) Storm Damage Repair at West Point, NY.
1. This notice of intent announcement is to:
A. To notify potential Offerors of the Governments intent to solicit a brand name(s) only component for this project
B. To identify potential sources that can provide an equivalent to the brand name only item.
C. Notification of the Army’s intent to solicit brand name components as described below:
BAS Controllers: Honeywell JACE 8000 Supervisory Gateway
The Government is planning to solicit a brand name component for the project, specifically the Honeywell JACE 8000 Supervisory Gateway. This component needs to have compatibility with the existing-to-remain Honeywell thermostats within the building's current BAS setup. Additionally, it must be compatible with the existing base-wide Honeywell Niagara N4 server, following while the guidelines outlined in UFGS 25 10 10. The purpose of this acquisition is to integrate the new Honeywell JACE 8000 Supervisory Gateway into the existing Building Automation System (BAS) located in West Point Building 624 (Barracks). Currently, the BAS for Building 624 relies on Honeywell BAS Controllers and thermostats to control hot water systems.
After careful review of the necessary replacement scope and assessment of storm damages, the Government has determined that maintaining compatibility with the existing software infrastructure used for building servicing is essential. Therefore, the decision has been made to continue using the Honeywell product line for new controls. This choice is driven by the requirement to ensure seamless integration and operation within the current system.
2. Any vendor that wishes to provide an alternate source to the brand names above that is compatible with the above must provide a response with data supporting the claim within 15 business days of this announcement to New York District Corps of Engineers, Contracting Division.
3. This is a market survey and notification of intent only. This is not a request to respond to a solicitation. This requirement will be solicited at a future date.
