Description

The Contractor shall furnish all equipment, supplies, water, chemicals, incidentals, transportation, labor, and supervision necessary to pump, wash down, inspect, clean, and disinfect toilet buildings (interiors and exteriors), and legally haul and dispose of effluents at an approved wastewater treatment facility and debris in accordance with State and Federal regulations and the contract specifications contained herein.



Portable Toilet and Handwashing Stations: Delivery - Set up - Removal



Portable Toilet Servicing:



Portable toilet servicing shall follow these standard procedures:




  • All holding tanks for waste products in the portable toilet units shall be completely emptied and all waste removed. Tanks shall be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with an approved disinfectant.

  • Holding tank shall be recharged with clean water and biodegradable (earth-friendly) deodorizer solution. which shall be mixed in sufficient quantities to provide odorless operation during usage.

  • Water holding tank shall be emptied and the clean water storage tanks for portable toilet units shall be cleaned as necessary to prevent algae and mold growth and refilled to capacity with potable water.

  • Wastepaper receptacles shall be emptied and cleaned.

  • The inside of all units shall be thoroughly washed, scrubbed. brushed, rinsed, and wiped dry. This operation shall include the top and bottoms of seats and seat covers, all walls. floors. doors. tops of all tanks. all grab bars and sinks if provided in the unit. No disinfectant, water or other liquids shall be left on any touchable surface.

  • The outside of the units shall be scrubbed or hosed down and wiped clean.

  • Interior will be sprayed with a biodegradable (earth-friendly) deodorizer.

  • Hand sanitizer/soap and paper towels will be replenished and restocked.

  • Re-stock toilet paper. There must be a minimum of two (2) 1/2 rolls at the time toilets are to be serviced.

  • Each unit shall be available for immediate use after each pumping and final cleanup. Contractor shall not leave the location until servicing is completed. While performing servicing activities, the Contractor shall make note of any readily observable damage or deterioration with the condition of the portable toilet unit and report those back to the COR. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • damaged/deterioration of the exterior (example, cracks in walls, door hinges and locks, etc.).

    • Damaged or missing interior parts and fixtures (example, toilet paper holder, toilet seat, hand sanitizer dispenser, door locking mechanism, etc.).

    • Spills – of any kind, waste or chemical will be cleaned immediately at the expense of the Contractor. There shall be no trace of toilet chemicals on or around the area of the portable toilets.
