Title: Koenig and Bauer Press Services
The Government intends to make an award to: Koenig and Bauer
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
The Government intends to award a sole source contract utilizing “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements” IAW FAR Subpart 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii).
The contractor shall provide one preventative maintenance visit per year, provide emergency services as needed and lastly supply replacement parts as needed to the District of Columbia Currency Facility. The services shall include a detailed report of the visit that provides a status of the plating operations or equipment, and recommendations to improve operations. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, and supervision. Preventative and emergency maintenance services shall include:
- “Health” check of Nickel and Chrome Plating Line and Ancillary equipment
- Analysis System components for availability, obsolete parts need to be identified and replacements must be checked for physical installment compatibility
- “Health” check of Plating Chemistry and bath operations
- Provide recommendations for possible equipment efficiency upgrades or “Green” improvements that could be made to existing system and system components
- Provide emergency services as needed and respond to request for service within 72 hours excluding weekends and holidays
- Replacement Parts for Nickel and Chrome Plating Line and Ancillary equipment
- Proposed plan to complete the tasks of the aforementioned items
Anticipated Period of Performance: 1 Base Year + 2 Option Years
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers/quotes/proposals. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation will not be posted. To be considered, responses MUST be received NO LATER THAN 12:00 PM EST, June 26, 2023. Additionally, interested parties must be registered and currently active in the System for Award Management (SAM), found at https://www.sam.gov. Responses MUST be submitted within the closing date/time of publication of this notice. Interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services.
