Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, located in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to solicit for the provision of Solid Waste Disposal for the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC), located at Route 15, 2 Miles North of Allenwood, Allenwood, Pennsylvania 17810. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirement contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period will consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, with (4) one-year option periods. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 562111 – Solid Waste Collection, (Size Standard of $47.0 Million). This solicitation is unrestricted. The contractor’s place of performance will be approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local Codes and laws, and must meet all EPA requirements and standards. The contractor’s location site must be within a 25 miles radius of FCC Allenwood, which is located at Route 15, 2 Miles North of Allenwood, Allenwood, Pennsylvania 17810. It is estimated that there will be approximately 2,546 tons of waste per year, and approximately (6) six loads per week. There will be a 35-yard compactor that will be delivered approximately (6) six time per week, (2) two 30-yard Open Top Dumpsters and a 30-yard Wood Dumpster as needed. The waste material will consist of institutional waste (solid and/or wet waste) from the Food Service Department and other departments within the institution), construction debris, wood, and tires.



FCC Allenwood will transport waste material to the approved landfill location; however, it must be within 25 miles of FCC Allenwood. Deliveries will occur Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, excluding Federal Holidays. Services are required to be provided by the contractor in accordance with the Statement of Work.



The solicitation will be made available on or about April 5, 2024, and will be distributed solely through the website at www.sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation and amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. The site provides downloading instructions.
