Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source



The Medical Readiness Contracting Office, West, Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed-Price contract to ANKOM Technology. This requirement is for Automated Fiber Analyzer with Pump System in support of Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC). The statutory authority permitting acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 1901 as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items.



The applicable North American Industrial Code System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334516-Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, SBA Small Business Size Standard: 1,000 Number of Employees.



This is a sole source notice of intent published for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive quotes. Therefore, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, all responsible parties interested in responding to this notice are invited to submit a capability statement including costs by 10:00 a.m. CST, 31 March 2023 via email to wayne.v.thompson3.civ@health.mil. The government shall consider all timely responses received that provides sufficient details for consideration by the Government.
