Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) in support of the Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (PEO C4I), Communications and Global Positioning System (GPS) Navigation Program Office, PMW/A 170, is announcing an Industry Day. PMW/A 170 is comprised of the following three Capability Divisions: Tactical Communications, Satellite Communications, and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing.

PMW/A 170 invites interested companies to an Industry Day Event in San Diego, CA 6-7 September 2023. This two-day event will consist of a Classified (Secret/NOFORN) briefing on Wednesday, 6 September at the office of Booz Allen Hamilton and an Unclassified Session on Thursday, 7 September at the Marina Village Conference Center.

This Industry Day event serves as an opportunity to engage with Industry Partners, share potential near term and future capability needs, and gather strategic market research, which is the overarching process of market “surveillance” that takes place continuously throughout the entire acquisition lifecycle per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 10.

The PMW/A 170 Industry Day is also a forum for Industry Partners to learn about the program office’s vision, the technological current state, and the challenges and opportunities that need private sector support. During the general session, each PMW/A 170 Capability Division will outline their division’s highest priorities/challenge areas and initiatives in the near and long term. Following the general session, there will be smaller break-out sessions where PMW/A 170’s Principal Assistant Program Managers (PAPMs), Assistant Program Managers (APMs), engineers, and functional directors (e.g. technical, sustainment, and cybersecurity) will host focused Questions and Answers/discussions about their particular challenges.

Participants are required to pre-register for this event. Registration will open at 0800 PDT on 17 July 2023 and will close at 1600 PDT on 24 August 2023. Due to space limitations a maximum of two individuals per CAGE code/Industry partner are permitted to attend. This maximum is non-negotiable.
