*8(a) Direct Award*





The C-17 Program Management Office has a requirement that is for a firm-fixed price contract for NSN: 5120-01-458-4544, Wrench, Spanner-Crew Door, P/N 17G110910-501, which includes one First Article, one First Article Test Plan, and one First Article Test Report. The C-17 aircraft has a crew entrance door located on the left-hand side of the forward fuselage. A means is required, at the organizational and depot levels of maintenance to provide a tool, which will allow maintenance personnel to apply an additional torque load of 922.500 in lbs. This permits removal/installation of the three Hi-Lok fasteners in the slots provided in the P/N 17PA4429, torsion spring adjustment flange. The means must have a torque load of 3,250 in lbs. to overcome the counterbalance of the spring. Delivery is FOB Destination with shipments in the continental United States. This requirement will be solicited as an 8(a) direct award. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government will utilize the Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS), Excluded Parties List System (EPLS), and other Government databases to determine contractor status before evaluating proposals. Proposals will be evaluated based on the criteria stated in the RFQ. All data for this weapon system is considered EXPORT CONTROLLED. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be released on or around 29 February 2024.
