The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is conducting market research to determine domestic availability of Ground Fault Circuit Interruptor (GFCI) receptacles. Salient features of GFCIs include: 20 amp, 125 vac, 2 pol, 3 wire, self-testing function, commercial grade, 5-20R NEMA configuration, UL 943 listed, Class A, UL/CSA, Nema WD6, self-grounding, status indicating light.
The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes are 238210 Electrical Contractors, and 335931 Outlets (i.e. receptacles), Electrical, Manufacturing.
In order for the GFCI to be considered manufactured in the United States, all manufacturing processes must take place in the United States and the cost of components mined, produced, or manufactured in the United States must exceed 60 percent of the cost of all the components. Components of foreign origin of the same class or kind for which nonavailability determinations have been made are treated as domestic.
