Answers to Vendors Questions

Are the specific brands the only ones you will accept?
The short answer is yes, there are only specific brands that we can accept for duty ammo. However, there are no such brand restrictions regarding training ammunition.

For 9mm duty ammo-
Duty ammunition must be one of the following: Remington Arms Golden Saber, 124 gr Brass Jacketed Hollow Point; Speer LE Gold Dot 124 gr, (Product #53618) or Federal Premium HST 124 gr (Product # P9HST1). No other substitutions are allowed.

For 9mm training ammo
Training ammunition should be 124 grain (gr). Full Metal Jacketed Ball, no specific brand.

For .223/5.56 duty-
Speer Gold Dot SP 62 grain .223/5.56mm and Federal-Tactical Bonded 62 grain .223/5.56mm.These are the approved VA Police duty ammunition for the long gun. Substitutes are not authorized.

Will you accept a bid from us or is the RFQ limited to just the brands listed?
Refer to the answer for Question 1. Moreover, we are in a critical need for resupply. We are below our yearly needs and time is an issue.

Any chance you can provide photos of the off loading site?
Unfortunately, we cannot provide photos of the offloading site.

Are there any obstacles that will potentially block while offloading and setting?
There are no known obstacles for the offloading or delivery of ammunition. We have received this type of order many times in the past.

I was wondering about the quantity of this ammunition. For example the federal 9mm quantity is 5,000. Is this for 5,000 rounds or 5,000 boxes or 1000 rounds per box?
That is the total ammunition (rounds). Not total of boxes, just the total of the ammunition, so it s 5,000 rounds not 5,000 boxes of rounds .

Also will the solicitation still close on the 11th?Â
Yes, Solicitation will close on December 11, 2023 at 4:00PM (EST)
