The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO-8), is seeking and intends to award a fixed-price contract for Design-Build (D/B) construction services for the project titled: “Installation of New Chillers at Buildings 7 & 10” at the Miami VA Medical Center, 1201 NW 16th Street, Miami, FL 33125.
To address this project, independent air-cooled chillers shall be installed in Buildings 7 and 10 to provide dedicated cooling for those buildings. This will involve a comprehensive assessment of the existing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in Buildings 7 and 10, as well as the design and specifications for suitable new air-cooled chillers with redundant (N+1) capability and associated equipment. The existing Chill Water System Plan will serve as a backup using isolation valves. The addition of localized chiller capacity to Buildings 7 and 10 will enhance the overall resilience and redundancy of the campus's chilled water system.
Phase One Proposals are due 04/10/2024 at 11:00 am EST. Phase One RFIs are due 03/27/2024 at 11:00 am EST.
