This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.

The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC), Nogales Field Office is seeking qualified businesses that can provide three (3) self-priming pumps, trailer mounted that meet the Product Descriptions below to address flood or other emergency within the Nogales Field Office operating area.

As part of its market research, the USIBWC is issuing this Sources Sought to determine if there exists an adequate number of qualified interested small businesses capable of providing the requirement. The Government may use the responses to this Sources Sought for information and planning purposes.

This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential small business sources as part of USIBWC market research. No Request for Quote (RFQ) exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the RFQ. NO AWARD will be made from this Sources Sought Notice.

Particularly, the purpose of this NOTICE is to gain knowledge of potential sources that have the ability to provide quality products, that will aid in a flood emergency. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract.

Product Description: Trailer Mounted Trash Pumps 3 ea.

6in. pump Suction Lift 10ft @ 1700RPM.

1. All pumps trailer mounted complying with DOT standards

• Total length of 10ft to 15ft and width of 5.5ft to 6.5ft


• 225/75R15 with 15-inch steel trailer wheel rims


• Axle must have 5200lb capacity with electric brakes and break-away box


• DOT lighting and 2” coupler


• Lifting bale

2. Diesel engine driven

• Four (4) cylinder diesel engine, Final Tier 4


• Rated output of 70HP at 2000 RPM


• Liquid cooled engine


• At least 183 cubic inches (3 Liters) cylinder displacement


• HPCR fuel injection system and engine control unit (ECU) with key


• 100 Gallon fuel tank


• A full load operating time of 37 hours

3. Self priming

• Self-priming trash pump


• Six (6) inch by six (6) inch NPT- female


• Gray Iron 30 casing


• Semi-open, 2 vane, ductile iron impeller


• Impeller shaft of 17-4 PH Stainless Steel


• Maximum lift height of 145 feet at 1700 RPM


• Shall be capable of passing up to three (3) inch spherical solids

4. Operations and Maintenance Manual – two (2) sets - to be included

5. Delivered to USIBWC Nogales Field Office, 865 E. Frontage Rd., Rio Rico, AZ 85648.

6. Each pump to come with hoses, couplings and strainer for inlet and outlet, and all appropriate quick disconnection hose fittings to operate pump.

Interested sources shall provide a response detailing their capability to deliver the required Trailer Mounted Trash Pumps per the requirements noted. Please provide the following information:
