National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)/George C. Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) has a requirement to provide: 1) A lightweight data management solution to demonstrate the data analysis and visualization advancements enabled by data migration to the cloud computing environment and develop open-source tools for ingesting and cataloging selected science datasets into the cloud; 2) An innovative cloud-native services for indexing and dynamic scaling based on demand and developing open-source tools/services to analyze science data on the cloud; and 3) A lightweight cloud-native data search, discovery and distribution services for the earth observation data science portfolio of NASA’s Earth Science Division of the Science Mission Directorate and developing open-source tools/services to deliver data from cloud for visualization and geospatial analysis.
NASA MSFC intends to issue a sole source contract extension to acquire the services from Element 84, Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Brent Evans, brent.l.evans@nasa.gov, not later than 5:00 P.M. CDT on April 11, 2024. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisistion on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to complete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based on responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
