NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
INVITATION FOR BIDS
The Department of Corrections is conducting a competitive bid
process for the Kitchen Floor Repair, at the Maine State Prison in
Warren, Maine. Bids will be opened and read aloud by the Department of
Corrections at 2:00 p.m. 17 April 2023.
The project scope is the replacement of the existing finished floor and some wall finish in the kitchen of
the Maine State Prison. The project will include the removal of the existing floor and wall finish, repair
of any damaged sub-floor or walls, and installation of a new floor and wall finish. There is potential
mold observed on some walls, it will need to be identified and abated according to current laws. Before
the installation of any flooring or wall material, the project includes disconnection, removal, and
relocation of existing kitchen equipment, its safe storage and eventual re-installation of the same
equipment after the floor has been replaced.
