The project generally includes demolition of the existing diesel generator, elevated pad and fuel tank and provision of a new 500 kW generator with an integral 72-hour belly tank. The new generator will be mounted on an elevated concrete foundation with a raised platform, to locate it above the 100-year flood plain. Contractors submitting a bid for this project shall hold a current Prequalification Certificate in one of the following categories, “Electrical”, “HVAC”, “General Building Construction (Group C)”, or “Water Treatment Plants” from the State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS). A copy of the Contractor’s DAS Prequalification Certificate and Update (Bid) Statement must be submitted with the bid.
