4 SPECIFICATIONS
The City of Hot Springs, Arkansas, on behalf of the Utilities Department, is accepting bids to purchase AMGP Series
Grinder Pumps. The following specifications describe the minimum requirements.
The equipment shall be of a new, current design production model, and available to the commercial market. The
bid shall include one (1) copy of the manufacturer's published specification and warranty. The City reserves the
right to review the manufacturer's specifications and to choose the unit deemed to be in the City's best interest. The
City of Hot Springs reserves the right to award the sections that are within the budget available. The equipment
shall comply with all state and federal safety requirements. Any deviations to these specifications shall be explained.
SPECIFICATIONS
Bid price shall include any and all freight (delivery) charges, special handling charges, fuel surcharges etc.
The estimated annual usage is hundred (100) pumps. With each order the quantity will be a minimum of fifty (50) to
hundred (100) pumps. The quantity is not a guaranteed and is subject to change based on the City’s needs. The
orders shall be on an “as needed” basis.
AMGP Series Grinder Pumps:
The AMGP Pump is a progressing cavity-type grinder pump ready to connect and designed to fit existing E-
One and Redmond grinder pump stations.
The Cast Iron Housing and Motor Head shall have a powder-coated epoxy finish and is corrosion resistant.
Use of pressure switches to eliminate floats for “Turn On” level and continued pumping until the “Turn Off”
level is reached. These switches actuate when the predetermined depth is met.
Motor:
1 HP, 1725 RPM, high torque, capacitor start, thermally protected, 240 or 120 Volt, 60 Hertz, 1 Phase.
Discharge Connections:
Pump Discharge terminates in 1.25 in NPT female thread and can easily be adapted to 1.25 in PVC pipe or
any other material required by local codes.
Discharge:
15 GPM at 0 PSIG
11 GPM at 40 PSIG
9 GPM at 60 PSIG
Overload Capacity:
The maximum pressure that a pump can generate is limited by the motor. The automatic reset feature does
not require manual operation following an overload.
The contract will be for one (1) year with five (5) twelve (12) month terms, subject to annual budget approval by the
Hot Springs Board of Directors. Contract will automatically renew annually unless either party supplies thirty (30)
day written Notice of Cancellation. Any escalation in price shall be subject to paragraph 29 of the Terms and
Conditions of Bidding. City reserves the right to accept or decline any and all price increases.
