PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project consists of a Base Bid which includes the
Contractor providing supervision, inspection, insurance, equipment, crew services, traffic
control plan, road closures, traffic control signage, saw cutting, removal, hauling and
disposal of existing asphalt concrete pavement, concrete curbing, sub-base soil and
debris. The over-excavation of eight inches (8”) of existing sub-base soil. The setup,
hauling, installation, pouring and finishing of approximately 400’ L.F. of concrete 6” free
standing curb with City supplied concrete. The installation and re-compaction in two (2),
four (4”) lifts of new sub-base A/B material, of approximately 5,250 tons of City supplied
A/B material in London Bridge Beach (LBB) and approximately 5,400 tons of City
supplied A/B material in Rotary Park. Grade of the existing edge of roadway elevation
must be maintained. City representative will have final approval of all base grading.
Contractor will grade and compact A/B material to achieve proper depth of the finished
grade. The contractor will lower, re-adjust and install the eleven (11) water valves cans
and concrete collars and one (1) waste water ring and concrete collar and re-install
approximately 400’ of new free standing curb with City supplied concrete in (LBB).
Contractor will lower, re-adjust and install the 5 (five) water valve cans and concrete
collars with City supplied concrete in Rotary Park. Contractor will install and compact
one (1) lift of two inches (2”) thick asphalt concrete pavement of approximately 15,800
sq. yds. in (LBB) and approximately 16,300 sq. yds. in Rotary Park with City supplied
hot mixed asphalt concrete pavement for the parking lots and roadways in Lake Havasu
City, Taking care to recreate drainage flow lines. All base grading, compaction, concrete
curbing and asphalt repair work must be completed in a workmanlike manner in
accordance with industry standards and Lake Havasu City Technical Specification Section
02630 – Asphalt Concrete Pavement and Section 03310 - Concrete Curb. Twenty One
(21) calendar days are being allotted for this work to be completed. All excess
material and debris will be hauled away and disposed of by the Contractor and will be
considered incidental to the project. Any damage to the existing concrete improvements
shall be repaired by the Contractor and will be considered incidental to the project.

Sealed bids for the project specified will be received by the City Clerk's Office, 2330 N.
McCulloch Boulevard, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, 86403 until the time and date stated.
Bids received by the correct time and date will be opened and read aloud
immediately thereafter in Room 109 of Lake Havasu City Hall. Public openings may

Bids must be clearly addressed to the City Clerk's Office, 2330 McCulloch Blvd. N, Lake
Havasu City, Arizona, 86403, and received no later than the exact time and date indicated above.
Late bids will not be considered under any circumstances.
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the Project Number and the bidder's name and
address clearly indicated on the envelope. All bids must be completed in ink or typewritten on a
form to be obtained from the specifications and a complete Invitation for Bid returned along with the
offer no later than the time and date cited above.
Bidders interested in taking advantage of the streamlined e-Bid and e-Bond process shall submit
their bids electronically via the City’s DemandStar Network at
https://www.demandstar.com/app/buyers/bids/447112/details. Paper bids and paper bid bonds
will continue to be accepted. Bidders submitting e-Bids will be required to scan and enclose their
paper bid bond/cashier’s check with their electronic bid submission. The apparent low bidder
shall submit their original bid bond/cashier’s check within three (3) business days following the
Bid opening.
