Description: PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Public Works requests proposals for four Janitorial Services (BRC0000524) contracts. Each of these contracts have been designed to have a potential maximum contract term of 5 years consisting of an initial 1-year term and four potential additional 1-year renewal options. The Request for Proposals (RFP) with contract specifications, forms, and instructions for preparing and submitting proposals may be accessed at http://pw.lacounty.gov/brcd/servicecontracts or may be requested from Mr. Danny Medina at (626) 458-4080 or dmedina@pw.lacounty.gov or Ms. Jessica Dunn at (626) 458-4169 or jdunn@pw.lacounty.gov, Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The deadline to submit proposals is Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. Please direct your questions to Mr. Medina or Ms. Dunn. See below for all deadlines relating to this solicitation. Be advised, any changes to the deadline dates listed below will only be made by Public Works, in writing in the form of an Informational Update or Addendum to the solicitation. A mandatory proposers' conference will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. via Microsoft Teams Meeting Online Events. To participate, the proposers will need to sign-in using the electronic sign-in sheet through the website listed above. ATTENDANCE BY THE PROPOSER OR AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE AT THE CONFERENCE IS MANDATORY. Public Works will reject proposals from those whose attendance at the conference cannot be verified. Attendees should be prepared to ask questions at that time about the specifications, proposal requirements, and contract terms. It is the proposers' sole responsibility to do their due diligence to visit and familiarize themselves with the work locations and their requirements before submitting their proposal. There are no mandatory walk-throughs for this solicitation; however, it is the proposers' sole responsibility to do their due diligence and to contact each site contract manager to arrange a site visit and familiarize themselves with each site location and its requirements before submitting a proposal. Proposer must coordinate with each site contract manager prior to visiting the site. Arranging the date and time of the site visits will be at the site contract manager's sole discretion. Each site contract manager's name and contact information can be found in Exhibit I, Scope of Services under its respective Janitorial Service Group. All site visits should be carried out prior to the established proposal submission deadline. Minimum Mandatory Requirements: At the time of proposal submission, proposers must meet all minimum requirements set forth in the RFP document including, but not limited to the following: The use of subcontractors is prohibited for these services. 1. Proposing entity must have at least 5 years of experience within the last 10 years, performing janitorial services for private or public institutions, and servicing multiple locations per job. 2. Proposing entity's supervisor or project manager assigned to these services must have at least 5 years of experience supervising janitorial staff in contracts servicing multiple locations. 3. Proposing entity must have a minimum number of full-time equivalent staff and mandatory minimum hours assigned to each Janitorial Service Group proposed. Please note: The minimum number of staff are depicted below and on Forms LW-8.1 through LW-8.5; however, you may assign additional staff if required to perform this service.
