ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR
SERVICE LINE INVENTORY
FOR THE
CITY OF MCRAE-HELENA, GEORGIA
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of McRae-Helena, Georgia at 25 South First
Avenue, McRae-Helena, Georgia 31055 until 2:00 p.m. local time, Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at
which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. No submitted bid may be
withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.
A Utility Contractors License is not required for bidding.
The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor necessary to
determine service line material on all water services 2 inches in diameter and smaller.
Time allotted for construction is 120 consecutive calendar days for substantial completion.
Proposals for the complete work in one general contract shall be made on the proposal form
provided and shall contain prices in words and figures for the work bid on.
The project is proposed to be funded with a State Revolving Fund loan. All SRF requirements
apply.
Drawings and Specifications are open to public inspection at the office of the City of McRaeHelena, Georgia and at the offices of Turnipseed Engineers in Augusta and Atlanta, Georgia.
Copies of the plans and specifications must be obtained from Turnipseed Engineers, 2255
Cumberland Parkway, Building 400, Atlanta, Georgia 30339, upon receipt of $100.00.
Digital copies of the documents are not available.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
