Description


The University of Georgia Office of University Architects (Using Agency) on behalf of the Board of Regents of The University System of Georgia (Owner) is soliciting responses from Design Build Firms interested in and capable of providing design-build services for the ¿OUA-24-001 Integrative Precision Agriculture Demonstration Farm¿ on the campus of The University of Georgia at Perry, GA.
A project description is provided below:
Located adjacent to the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricultural Center in Perry, Georgia, the University of Georgia Integrative Precision Agriculture Demonstration Farm South Milledge Avenue will be ideally situated to meet its research and outreach goals detailed above. The approximately 265-acre site is bounded by Elko Road, Perry Parkway, Limerock Parkway, and Larry Walker Parkway. The project scope includes comprehensive master planning of the complex including all infrastructure as well as design and construction of an initial phase. Anticipated facilities include but are not limited to:

office and conference building
pesticide storage building
shop and fabrication building
equipment storage shed
fertilizer and seed storage
fuel storage
agricultural irrigation equipment (such as pivots and laterals) including well(s) and pump house(s)
IT Infrastructure
parking facilities and drive circulation
Phase one design and construction scope could include site and irrigation infrastructure as well as an equipment storage shed, with the potential to include a portion of the shop and office program. The selected DB firm will assist in finalizing Phase I scope upon completion of master planning efforts and budget assessment.

This Qualification Based Selection will be completed in two Stages (also referred as "steps" in this event and in attached documents); Stage I: Request for Qualifications and Stage II: Request for Proposals (From Qualified Finalists). The University will evaluate and select several qualified firms from the response submittals in Stage I and notify the finalist firms to proceed to Stage II.
