Sealed bids will be accepted by the Walton County Board of Commissioners, for furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, traffic control and any other miscellaneous items necessary for minor cleaning and application of DOT approved tack and asphalt topping for various subdivision streets for the Walton County Public Works Department.Bids will be received at the Walton County Board of Commissioners¿ office, 111 S. Broad St., Monroe, Georgia until 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Any bid received after said time and date of bid opening will not be considered. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at this time and location. All bids will be evaluated and the project will be awarded within thirty (30) days of the bid opening. Bidding documents are available at the Walton County Board of Commissioners Office 8:00 a.m. ¿ 4:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday or by email to rhawk@co.walton.ga.us. A bid bond or a certified cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid to be enclosed with the bid at the time of bid opening. The successful bidder will be required to furnish proof of Insurance, Workman's Compensation Insurance, and Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the total bid. Contractors must also provide a Contractor Affidavit verifying compliance with the Federal Work Authorization Program known as E-Verify. Walton County reserves the rights to reject any and all bids, to waive any technicalities or irregularities and to award the bid based on the highest and best interest of Walton County.
