Description


Sealed bids will be received by the City of Kennesaw, City Clerk’s Office, 2529 J.O. Stephenson Avenue, Kennesaw, Georgia 30144, until 3:00 PM EDT on Friday, May 26, 2023, for the rehabilitation of the drainage pipes as shown on the attached exhibits. Bids received after the deadline will not be considered. The project generally includes furnishing all labor, material, equipment for construction and related improvements for subject project. Work includes the rehabilitation of the pipe segments as shown on the attached exhibits. The repair method for this project can be a cured in place pipe lining or a spray in lining system. A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held at 1:00 PM EDT on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Public Works, 3080 Moon Station Road, Kennesaw, GA to discuss the project. Any questions should be emailed to the Deputy City Clerk, Lily Smith at lsmith@kennesaw-ga.gov no later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the mandatory meeting. Copies of the bid document may be attained by contacting the Deputy City Clerk at lsmith@kennesaw-ga.gov. Technical questions should be addressed to Amanda Stevens at astevens@kennesaw-ga.gov no later than seventy-two (72) hours prior to bid opening. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check or acceptable Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid made payable to the City of Kennesaw. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a contract performance bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a payment bond equal to one hundred ten percent (110%) of the contract price, with the terms and surety to be approved by the City of Kennesaw; and furnish satisfactory proof of carriage of the insurance required. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive formalities, re-advertise, and to reduce or add to the contract from time to time.
