Sealed bids for the Jacyee Park & Field Improvements Project owned by the City of Tybee Island will be received by Melissa Freeman at the Tybee Island City Hall until 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 6, 2023. Bids will be publicly read in the Public Safety Building conference room (78 Van Horne Ave, Tybee Island) at 2:30 P.M. on Monday, November 6, 2023.

1.        The project consists of the following generally described work: The preparation of a soccer field within the outfield of an existing softball field. Work will include grading, drainage infrastructure associated with the field, grassing, an irrigation well and associated irrigation lines, wooden and chain link fencing, and the necessary appurtenances that accompany said improvements.

2.        Plans and Specifications may be obtained from Thomas & Hutton Engineering Co., Post Office Box 2727, Savannah, Georgia 31402¿2727 upon payment of $200.00 (plus shipping charges as applicable) for hard copies and $100.00 for digital copies. 3.        Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability." Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney¿in¿fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond.
