BID NOTICE
Bay Doors
City of Americus Fire Department Station 2 1312 Southerfield Rd.
Notice is hereby given that the City of Americus, Georgia will be receiving bids at the City Clerk¿s office, 101 W. Lamar Street Americus, Georgia until 5:00 pm April 7th 2024 for the following & an opportunity to view the property will be available on March 20, 2024 by appointment:
Commercial Sectional doors for the four bay doors in the engine bay (Area 1) & one ribbed commercial sectional door for the shop door (Area 2) for the Americus Fire & Emergency Services Station 2 at 1312 Southerfield Rd. Americus Ga. 31719.
GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS:
1.        Remove existing bay doors, motors, and tracks in all areas.
2.        Replace Tracks in all areas.
3.        Install 4 new, ½ horsepower hoist motor including pushbutton control, monitored photocells, and transmitter with four channel dual frequency, in Area 1.
4.        Install 4 new, commercial sectional doors with 1¿ solid shaft counterbalance and glass sectional in Area 1.
5.        Install Commercial sectional door with standard counterbalance & standard locking hardware in Area 2.
PLACE OF RENOVATIONS
The successful bidder shall perform all renovations at 1312 Southerfield Rd.
EXCEPTIONS TO SPECIFICATIONS:
Exceptions shall be allowed if they are equal to, or superior to, the intent of the specification as written and provided they are listed and entirely explained on a separation page entitled ¿exceptions to Specifications¿.
If the bidder takes an exception on the exception page, the bidder must state an option price to bring their specifications into full compliance with the department specification. Failure to provide the information shall cause us to reject the proposal as being non-responsive.
