Description

The City of Boston is considering seeking funds from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Fiscal Year 2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, to include regular round CDBG funds. The City of Boston is requesting statements of qualifications and proposals from Engineers with a strong record in successfully assisting local governments with the implementation of CDBG projects, both in planning and design and project follow through. The City of Boston is considering the development of a project to make Street and Storm Drainage Improvements. This 2024 procurement action may also lead to additional contracts and/or contract addendums for planning, design, and other related services. If the grant was awarded, the selected Engineering firm would be guaranteed the contract for Engineering services. Some of the evaluation factors to be considered when selecting a firm are: 1. Qualifications and experience with regard to skills to be used on CDBG projects, including training, background,
and list of current and past projects. Please include references, with contact numbers. 2. Fees associated with grant application development and administration. 3. Familiarity with the project and the community.

4. Scope and level of service provided, if selected. 5. Adherence to Section 3 compliance: City of Boston is committed to Affirmatively Further Fair Housing. This project is covered under the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1986. The contract opportunity is a Section 3 Covered Contract. For consideration, interested firms must submit their proposals to: City of Boston, ATTN: Danny Groover, Mayor, 124 West Jefferson Street or P. O. Box 370, Boston, Georgia 31626 no later than 12:00 NOON on Friday, March 29, 2024. Proposals submitted after that date and time will not be accepted. For further information, interested firms should contact Danny Groover, Mayor at (229) 498-6743 .
