Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Albany, Procurement Division, 222 Pine Avenue, Suite 260, Albany, Georgia 31701, until 2:30 p.m. on July 17, 2023, for all work required for the public water system service line material inventory, Albany, Georgia in accordance with bid documents, specifications, and all other contract documents. Service line inventory of all City of Albany water supply recipients in which the water supply lines in both the Utility Service side of supply and the customer side supply lines are to be inspected and surveyed for the material make-up of each supply line. Progress is to be documented on the supplied spreadsheet. The meter box is to be pressure washed and hydro vacuumed to remove dirt and debris for further inspection by the Project Manager. The pipes may be visually inspected, tested with magnets, scratch tested or otherwise tested for the presence of lead. Any properties with broken boxes or leaks are to be documented in the supplied spreadsheet and reported directly to the Project Manager by the end of the day. These defective meters shall not be tested until repaired or replaced by the City of Albany. The City will report to the vendor after the repairs have been made and the vendor will proceed with testing on those found to be defective. In cases where the meter is not accessible from the road with a vacuum truck, the unit shall be hand dug and tested removing any waste dirt.
