As part of the City¿s ongoing initiatives to meet the requirements of the Second Amended Consent Decree (SACD), the City has planned the North Utoy Trunk Sewer Replacements ¿ Project 1A to meet the performance criteria in the First/Second Amended Decree. Those criteria include increasing the capacity of the sanitary sewer system to convey additional flow resulting from a 2-year, 3-hour design storm event without sanitary sewer overflows (SSO¿s). The proposed improvements in this project include replacement of capacity-limited segments of the north Utoy Creek Basin Outfall and Trunk sewers. The City intends to implement improvements using a Design/Build delivery method (DB) as described in the Agreement.
