Sealed Bids will be received by St. John the Baptist Parish Purchasing and Procurement Department in St.
John the Baptist Parish Government Complex Building, 1811 W. Airline Highway, LaPlace, La. 70068, at the
receptionist's desk, or electronically submitted on www.centralbidding.com until 9:45 A.M. Local Time, May
3, 2024.
Bids shall be addressed to the St. John the Baptist Parish Purchasing and Procurement. Bid envelopes shall
be sealed, display the name and address of the bidder, and be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope
“Water Distribution and Treatment Maintenance / Emergency Repairs”. Any bids received after the
specified time and date will not be considered. The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at
10:00 A.M. Local Time May 3, 2024, in the St. John the Baptist Parish Government Complex Council
Chambers located at 1811 W. Airline Highway, LaPlace, LA 70068.

Questions and comments regarding this Bid must be submitted in writing to St. John the Baptist Parish,

or via e-mail to p.montz@Stjohn-la.gov no later than 10:00 A.M. local time on April 26, 2024.
Contractors submitting bids shall be licensed under LA R.S. 37:2150-2164, Municipal and Public Works
Construction
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with
Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes. In accordance with R.S. 38:2212(A)(1)(b), the provisions and
requirements stated in the Bidding Documents shall not be waived by any entity.
No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof,
except as provided under LA. R.S. 38:2214.

SUMMARY OF WORK
The Scope of the contract work is to provide means to perform emergency replacement and repair of
existing waterlines and work incidental thereto to supplement existing Utilities Department work crews
on day-to-day maintenance and emergency repairs. The project is high priority jobs in dealing with
public safety of water supplies it is vital to ensure the citizens of St. John the Baptist Parish are supplied a
safe and sanitary potable water supply without unnecessary interruption. These replacements/repairs
will be done on an as-needed basis only and no minimum expenditure is guaranteed under this contract.
Payment for work performed shall be on a unit price basis. It is intended to issue work orders as needed
to perform repairs at various locations in St. John the Baptist Parish.
This contract will be utilized by St. John the Baptist Parish to complete maintenance and emergency
repair activities on their water distribution system, per the pay items indicated in the bid form.
This project consists of furnishing all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, and other resources
necessary to complete the maintenance work per they pay items indicated the bid form. Contractors
submitting bids shall be licensed under LA R.S. 37:2150-2164, Municipal and Public Works Construction.
