SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Unit price bid must not exceed two digits to right of decimal point. Unit

price submitted beyond two digits will be rounded off to the nearest second digit.

Must bid in correct unit of measure shown to be considered for award. Quote submitted in any other

unit of measure will not be considered.

Due to the need of shipment in truckload quantities, award to be made to one successful bidder

meeting all requirements of bid. No split award will be considered.

NOTE: Vendor shall ensure selected treatment plant follows a Quality Control program in accordance

with AWPA M3. Prior to shipment, vendor must notify the DOTD Timber Inspector, Bryan Dedon, at

bryan.dedon@la.gov or (225)505-5853 for inspection at plant. The Department, in lieu of an onsite

inspection, may choose to approve the materials after review and verification of the treating plants

scale calibrations and chemical analysis reports on the product treated.

DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS: Please contact Britt Trichel at (318)342-0187 or Joe Hicks at

(318)792-1653 at least Twenty-Four(24) Hours before delivery. Deliveries accepted Tuesday-Friday

8:00 AM- 3:00 PM except for holidays, weekends, or times of disaster.

All timber should be separated on delivery truck in such a manner that allows it to be off-loaded with a

small forklift.

PAYMENT: In an effort to increase efficiencies and effectiveness as well as be strategic in utilizing

technology and resources, DOTD strongly encourages vendors to participate in accepting Electronic

Funds Transfer (EFT) payments.

EFT payments are sent from the State's bank directly to the payee's bank each weekday. The only

requirement is that you have an active checking or savings account at a financial institution that can

accept Automated Clearing House (ACH) credit files and remittance information electronically.
