Custom Fabricated Plows (Dozer Plows)
**Per Attachment B - Drawings - Pages 1-18**
**These plows will be fabricated / constructed for use with
John Deere 650 dozers for the purpose of plowing fire
suppression lines and permanent fire breaks. The plows
will be connected to a butt plate at the rear of the dozer.
**LDAF will furnish a prototype plow for reference of
design and dimensions**
**The top plow support will need to have an identification
number laser etched into the support. Identification
numbers will be supplied by LDAF**
- Plows will be fabricated from Grade 1 steel.
- Plows will be painted John Deere yellow with two coats
of paint.
- Plows will be sandblasted prior to painting.
- Cutting part of plow needs to be made of rolled grade 1
steel.
- Coulter part of plow will need to be made of (half) ½ inch
grade 1 steel.
- No spot welds, all joints must be fully welded.
- The hinge pin shall be removable and greaseable.
- Two 4 inch "D" rings will need to be attached to the hitch
plate. The "D" rings will need to be placed on the right side
and the left side of the hitch plate on the lower third (1/3)
of the plate. 4inch "D" ring is 1 inch in diameter, 3 inches
wide and 4 inches tall.
