The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) intends to purchase Vibrating Wire Strain Gauges, Environmental Pressure Cells with Vibrating Wire Transducer, and Dynamic Pressure Cells with Standard Transducers, with cables from Geokon.
The same sensors were successfully used by MnDOT in the initial part of the study in 2022 and have proven to provide the desired data. The same manufacturer and model sensors are needed for continuity within the study. No other vendors or sources are able to provide the same sensors with exact construction as well as input and output requirements. Other manufacturers would require the purchase of additional equipment to work.
