The City of Nixa is issuing a Request for Bid for the procurement of aluminum 3200 gallon, 72” diameter sludge tank to be installed on an International HV507 Chassis Sludge Truck.

The City highly encourages electronic submissions via this online bidding system as it expedites the process and helps to alleviate errors.

Paper bids will still be accepted. All bid content must be in a sealed envelope. Bids must be delivered by the stated close date and time. NO EMAILED OR FAXED bids will be accepted.

3 Proposal Opening
Any bid received later than the specified time shall be disqualified.

If the City of Nixa office where bids/proposals are to be submitted is closed due to inclement weather, natural
disaster, or for any other cause including if the electronic bid system is unavailable on the due date, the deadline
for submission shall be extended until the next City calendar business day, unless the bidder is otherwise notified.
The time of day for submission shall remain the same.
4 PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS

5 Bid Award
The City of Nixa reserves the right to award Bids by line item, group of items, all or none, or a combination thereof;
to reject any and all Bids or waive any minor irregularity or technicality in Bids received.
Awards will be made to the Vendor whose Bid best serves the City's best interest. This decision can be made based
on price, delivery lead times, specifications, or a combination thereof.

6 Installation
Rear bumper to be fabricated of 2” x 6” rectangular tubing with 1/4” wall, positioned to protect rear valves assembly
and braced to truck frame, driveline from PTO to pump will be hollow tube 1310 style drive line.
Complete above items to be installed on customer furnished cab and chassis equipped with Allison 3000RDS
transmission.

1/4” thick barrel of 5454 aluminum, with two full flanged and dished 5/16” heads, full length skids, (3) 6' interior
channel ribs, full doubler plate (bottom 1/3 rd of tank is double plated), hose trays with rear tail light sections,
primary moisture trap, 12” x 4” with internal air line, 20” top manway, 20” rear manway with 6” flanged discharge
port, 4” intake port, flanged, (2) hose hooks, (2) hose guards, driver side ladder to top, (3) 5” sight eyes, left front
level indicator w/SS ball, longitudinals with captured rubber sill cushion, one driver side 6” x 90 degree front
intake with 6” valve, rear discharge to have 6” air operated piston valve with switch in cab, truck mount kit
including junction box, (2) LED work lights on top rear of tank, wiring harness, LED DOT light kit, mud flaps for in
front and behind drive tires, truck mount kit with 4 spring loaded, captured mounts and includes one aluminum
spreader plate for rear discharge.
